Goon servers you play: Goonstation 3 and Goonstation 4

Reason for application:

Ever since I entered SS13, Goonstation was the server that always felt like the one to me. 3 years ago, after my first and only ban, I still waited to continue to play it again. And the main thought I had after holding the basics of the game was to learn everything I could, starting from the simple to the most complex mechanics of the game. I saw the experienced players and looked up to them, hoping I would be like them.

In these past years of playing, with over 2300+ hours, I learned jobs I'd never thought I would learn, mainly in Engineering. Once I learned how turning a Singularity wasn't as hard as I previously assumed, I wanted to try more! To the point that one of the main roles I currently play is CE, I started it as most of the CEs I find in a round weren't so active with the crew or their department, so I wanted to change that. And after I started it, many trainees came to me asking how it works. I taught them everything I could while making it as simple as possible to understand. I really enjoyed doing that. They remind me how I too didn't know how it worked.

Even on jobs where I didn't have experience, I'd look up how they work. Sometimes in free time, I read what people ask on #ss13-questions on Discord, hoping to either find an answer to an interesting question or to help someone in need. In the end, I always learn something new, and I really like doing it. No matter how big a wiki page is, if I have confidence, I'll read it all!

When I think I've learned everything on a role, I still look up things about it or make more things from the available tools, like scheming up a new mechcomp circuit, as useless as it is. Most of the time I learn a new thing I never thought of doing before. Some things that would in theory be impossible in a normal round, I test on local servers! My main discovery was that farts consume stamina, thus, it can knock you out if you were to somehow fart at light speed!

Off to my experience!

Civilian: One of my very first roles, and the ones I've most played. Despite not doing much of botany or ranching, I still believe I'm able to help someone do the basics of Botany. My main roles were Bartender, Chef and Janitor. I've had veery few times I taught someone how to bar tend, make fancy drinks and mix things! As a chef, I always try to get something new from my dishes, my main thing was custom dishes, those being: Pizza, Pies (before the none pie was added, I was amazed to create the Pie Pie) and Sushi (Yes! Despite the looks, those accept any food item).

Engineering: Before the removal, I loved to do Mechanic. Messing with mechcomp is one of the things I am quite fond of, not just for automating things, but to do things that are fun for people! Setting up game shows, slot machines, slop machines, and much more. After a while, I've had the courage to try out the engines, nowadays I'm loving being the CE and helping out people as much as I can.
I've had some fun experiences with Mining, enough for me to know a bit of matsci, such as main ores and what's radioactive or not.
QM isn't my most played role in there, but recently I took on the trading and making bank!

Medical: Although I did play MDir a few times, I don't think I would be as good as the others due to not knowing well how to mix chems, but for MD I think I do well enough for the most common needs! Instead, Robotics and Genetics were two of my most played roles in Medical, with Robotics being the main one! Helping out the silicons as much as possible was great!

Research: Might be the department with my least experience in, but I have tried a few times, that being ArtSci and mostly TeleSci. I can work with the teleporter normally, usually to steal donuts from the bridge or scaring people  a fancy greater domestic space-bee . Chemistry's something I'm not much into practice, just theory from reading the wiki.

Security: I've always tried to be a good Security Officer, but my judgement skills are usually too light. My main role in security is being the Detective! Working out cases, destroying my lungs, and taking pictures of anything suspicious is amazing!

Command: One of my very first command roles was HoP. I believe it's one of the best roles to get a grasp of Command, sometimes on unlucky days getting to be the one in charge! After being captain for a bit, my main Command role was Chief Engineer, since I can help many trainees around!

Silicon/AI: I really love AI, it has to be the most complex and fun role I've played! Thinking about hypothetical AI laws or closely analyzing any laws that get inserted to see any loopholes will never get old. Silicon was the way I used to know other departments, commonly choosing to be a MediBorg rather than a Doctor.

Previous bans:

As previously said, I did get banned on my very first day as I had assumed rules were just "be nice and don't cheat" like all other places and didn't end reading them, my old edgy (and kind of offensive) humor didn't really help my case. Ever since then I learnt from my mistakes and changed!

Thanks for reading all this, never thought i'd write this much, hehe Sleeping bee
