RP Changelings, Modify or Remove?
#1
As the title says, a simple request to disable changelings in RP. Maybe have an alternate antagonist in place.

Reasoning is that I had two rounds early on I was gotten by the changeling alongside another, and was effectively held hostage in them for the entire round. I feel that having an antagonist who does such a thing, and disables other roles or so whilst dead, alongside making it impossible to clone. Does dampen the roleplayability a bit.

Would it be possible to make it so either they can't be in RP? Or maybe make it so if someone wishes they can simply "opt out" of being in the hivemind or so if they don't want to be held hostage in a body? Especially when a shuttle is recalled and said person has been in them for over an hour with nothing to do?

Apologies if this is whiny or just complaining, but it feels warranted enough to suggest it at least.

I'm fairly certain there is a 'Leave Hivemind' button for these situations.

EDIT: Pretty sure it's under the 'Commands' tab when you join the hivemind, so probably just missed it.

Well if there is, perhaps it could be made more visible and describe to people that they can leave the hivemind and be a ghost this way or so? I didn't recall seeing an option?

And if it's under the command tab, most don't look there, it explains why I didn't see it.

It's called out in the popup you get when becoming a member of the changeling hivemind. Where do you think it should be called out?

I have a feeling its a bit of a nightmare to do it so might not be best, but one place might be a button in the same location as the cancel cameras button I suppose. If it's cropping up a lot for people you could reshuffle it so the popup lists about leaving the hindmind is something a bit more Bolded front and centre in a different colour. I'm grasping a bit though I didn't realise people were missing that you could jump out of a hivemind.

Maybe you could add a "Leave Hivemind" button at the bottom right of your screen that could have a popup confirming your decision, like when you suicide, would be a little more clear,
since I cannot tell you how many times I've had to explain to people that they can actually leave the hivemind, but it's just hidden amongst the commands which most people (especially newer players) don't look at all too frequently
