Make Morphine Suffocate People
#1
Opiodes like Morphine infamously affect the part of the brain that controls breathing.
Because of this, even standard doses can cause shortness of breath.
Overdoses, however, can lead to suffocation.

Despite this, morphine does not deal ANY OXY damage in Goon.
Instead, it deals generic POISON damage on an overdose.
The poison damage should be swapped out with oxygen damage, thats it.

Oh and while we are at it how about we add fen- *GUNSHOT*

Morphine OD isn't very punishing, it's true. But it's so accessible, I'm not sure about making it's OD effect so dehibilitating that it might as well be a poison.

That said, I like the idea that it does Losebreath and OXY damage instead of just TOX damage. Just gotta balance it right. I FEEL like it could stand to be more punishing, just need to avoid making it a reliable knockout chem I think...

If OXY is stronger than TOX then its ofc no problem if it deals less OXY than TOX, I am not necessarily asking for an OD buff, just more accuracy (also OXY damage is rare which could give morphine an interesting use, perhaps to fool the victim into thinking that they got poisoned by a much worse poison).

I also wouldn't mind seeing a regular dose having a small chance to do some LOSEBREATH.

I don't see the problem in changing it from TOX to OXY, I don't think it's particularly any different what kind of damage type you inflict safe for flavor, because we have enough medicine to handle any kind of damage at any point in time, typically.

Neurotoxin and sulfonal are remarkably easy to make for what they do as well, and pancuronium is quite easy to get too if you want it. And that's just the knockout chems, don't get me started on unstable muta.... I don't think morphine getting a bit of a buff would really impact balance much.

A change from tox to oxy qould be a major nerf to morphibe without sone additional buffs/effects. Oxy damage is very easy to heal (by breathing)

Morphine OD I think could do both tox dmg and oxy dmg and I don't think it would cause much issue, you can make stronger poisons then morphine OD very fast

Having it deal oxy damage would barely nerf morphine, it's not really effective as a poison. It has a 8% chance to inflict 1-2 tox on overdose, it's biggest effect is the sleep and giving addictions. An interesting effect could be having it keep loosebreathe up to a certain value like perf, making an overdose a way to impede speech.

Also it's important to keep in mind that morphine can be part of a security loadout, so it shouldn't become too powerful.
