Welcome to the voting thread for the September 2024 contest!
In this thread, you will vote on your favorite flavors for the upcoming Discount Dan's fall drink. This is setup significantly differently from before. In previous vote threads, all the entries were hidden inside numbered spoiler boxes. This time, since all the entries are entirely text, I've put them in the poll itself for your convenience. Each option shows the flavor name and contents (omitting the base liquids). Flavor text/description was omitted to meet poll character limits, but we may or may not add those too, at our discretion.
Please let me know if I missed an entry or got something wrong! The poll-making interface is rather obtuse and doesn't allow for previews. I tried my hand at fixing things up, but there's a good chance I still missed something. I also attempted to fix some grammar mistakes here and there.
Otherwise, as with last time, you can vote for as many entries as you want. The poll will automatically close after 7 days. If there a tie, all the tied entries get prizes, if applicable.
Since there are so many great submissions this time around, we have decided to up the number of potential winners from seven to eleven. In addition, if there's a submission that I and/or other admins really like that doesn't make the list, we might just add it anyway. The submitter will get the participant rewards.
All participants will receive the "Fun Times" medal which allows them, as a ghost, to turn into a living participation ribbon which they can stick onto players or objects! The eleven entries with the most votes will receive the following rewards: - Their flavor will be added to the game. The entry-maker will be attributed in the changelog.
- The Too Cool in-game medal, in addition to the "Fun Times". This lets you use this cute

The votes are in! There was a tie for 11th place, so we actually have 12 winning entries this time around. These are the winning flavors:
- Monster's Mash (5u spiders, 5u ants, 5u bee, 3u krokodil, 3u Hunchback, 2u fish oil, 2u blood) by Garash
- Pumpin' Spies Latte (7u Strychnine, 18u Orange Crime) by Balarak. For this one, you have to emag the coffee machine first, and it uses a syndie shot glass instead of a coffee cup. Balarak also wanted it to splash the drinker with paint, like a paint marker round; I decided to make a special version of crime that handles this. Crime is still in the secret repo, so I had to make some special arrangements, which is partly why this announcement is somewhat late. (The other part is because I also have a bad habit of procrastinating.) It's so different from the others that it's being implemented as its own drink (still fall-exclusive and still with the VHFCS and pumpkin spice base), so you're actually getting two new beverages this time around.

Solenoid's Pumpkin Space Latte entry (6u liquid dark matter, 6u yobihodazine, 6u teporone, 5u salbutamol, 2u lexorin) and SteveRooley's Pumpkin Ice Latte entry (5u mint tea, 10u cryostylane, 5u cryoxadone, 2u nicotine, 1u Freeze) didn't make the top eleven, but I liked them so much, I decided to add them in anyways. With this, we have a very thematic 13 flavors. (Balarak's entry is being implemented as a separate drink. If you want, you can think of it as a spiritual 14th flavor.)
Congrats to everyone who participated and a hearty "cheers" to all those who will get their drink implemented. I will give out the participant and winner medals very shortly. If all goes well, this fall drink, and the flavors you've made, will appear in coffee machines within the next few days. Again, you can only buy it during September, October, and November. Once December rolls around, you won't be able to buy it again until next September.
As for the winners' stickers, Gannets has told me that winners should not contact him over forum DMs, as he has a bad habit of forgetting to check them. Instead, you should send him a direct message over Discord. He's opened his DMs, and he's ready to receive your sticker requests. As a reminder, his bigcartel store store is always open, so if you're sad you didn't win a sticker this round, you can always buy yourself one, and they're pretty cheap too.
