Make PDA messages more obvious
#1
Getting one every 5 minutes for payroll desensitizes people to the sensory experience of getting PDA messages. It can be hard to get a hold of people that way... Maybe a bespoke ringtone for bots would be nice or something

Agree, this goes even moreso for jobs that get frequent job-related PDA alerts like geneticists. Having different pda alerts for different kinds of PDA notifications would be nice

yea. just a teeny, semi-transparent maptext PDA showing up for a second as you get the ping would probably work

maybe make payroll not trigger beeps either

This would certainly be nice. As someone who plays MD frequently, I’m always afraid that I will accidentally miss a health implant or morgue chute alert and cause someone to rot.

I think making automation texts not beep would go a long way

No ringtone for auto messages and maptext together sounds like the best possible solution imo. Could do one for sending PDA messages as well to avoid people silently tipping off via PDA? unsure on that last part.

a white background like cyborg chat would work.

I think this would be the best way to visualize it's something different. As long as we don't use it for payroll..
