What if, potatoes could be plugged into powercell sockets and used in every way powercells could?
Maybe lemons too?
Okay to start with I was thinking potatoes could maybe have 10 units of power and with botany growing better potatoes to add to the limit with "amazing" potatoes etc.
So you ask, "What's the point? 10-100 units of power in a battery is rather pointless.
Also maybe you could threaten a borg with a potato battery for misbehaving.
Then what about mutated strands containing specialised battery potatoes? Potato batteries better than 15k powercells.
If having lots of potatoes running the station seems unappealing or broken due to the volume of potatoes that could be pumped out.
What if they weren't able to be recharged?
What if once they were drained they became baked potatoes ready to eat?
I fully support this idea. I can see it now, an dastardly traitor blows up the engine and the AI is too incompetent to set the solars so the station floods botany to mass-produce potatoes to run the station on. Perhaps potato power should have a chance of causing an arc-flash as well, due to to the fact that you are attempting to use a supercharged spud to power a room and that is just not a good idea.
In the event of low materials, borgs should be able to be made out of potatoes also. Also what if you could find a super secret potato reactor out in space and install in on the station, creating mass amounts (maybe TOO much) of energy for the station? Things could also go wrong with it like turning objects into potatoes due to the extreme power of the reactor?
