Not really deadly as much as might pose a means for escape out of brig, or just something you can throw at people for some slight damage. the sec guards will probably notice you throwing a brick encased in a loaf of bread though.

I think in terms of overpowered things, loafs rank very low now that the strangelet has a different function from blackholing. Chemistry and genetics are both way more overpowered, although certainly not as easy as loafing. Well, new genetics is easy. Chemistry is hard because it's boring to find recipes, but it isn't hard to understand.

I thought that was a meth/bath salts thing. Philip Farmer filled himself with something terrible and loafed himself, and the result was a loaf that made everyone who bit it completely fucked up, and someone's blood tried to climb out and then sizzled away as a result.
