While it's a nice idea, the clunky interface and inability to change the duration of notes makes actually playing anything worthwhile with instruments basically impossible. There's got to be some public domain stuff floating around that can be used.

The intention is to map the inputs to a row of hot keys, though it hasn't happened yet. That'll make it a lot less unwieldy to play.

the public domain stuff that's staying are available as keys on the far right of the scale (see: the piano)
if an instrument doesn't have any full riffs, it's because none of the existing songs were known to be public domain

Here goes a kinda off-topic but still on-topic question,...
Any chance we will ever directly be able send MIDI signals from for example a keyboard through BYOND to GOON to play instruments live?
P.S. in my opinion those new instrument changes are really sweet!
