Official Traitor Items Discussion Thread (Wonk)
If it's a replica of the station map, perhaps the person should be able to hear over a "radio" as well.

And when they put the thing on, they should be convinced they were unconscious, as to keep them from being suspicious.

Syndicate vending machine (Mechanic only)
Blueprint for a vending machine that transfers all sales to the builder's account. Sells spiderman masks, gold-plated butts, grog, and on extremely rare occasions there will be an elmo doll for sale ("bet you're not man enough to buy the Elmo.") You know, stuff assistants are willing to pay thousands of credits for. You could also use a remote activator to make it tip over onto people.

Clown Car: Brings back the syndicate clown car as a blueprint for mechanics. Requires a clown mask, suit, and shoes to drive.

Not gonna happen. A copy of the whole damn station just for that would be hugely wasteful.

i like that idea victor, but why stop with just good things

why not have it sometimes dispense pipebombs ready to explode

Because it's mainly designed to help you complete "amass x credits" objectives, and if it's too obvious that it's a traitor vending machine (I meant for it to look like a normal one, not have "Syndi-vend" painted on the front or whatever) nobody will buy anything, they'll just be all play 2 win lolz and destroy it. The falling over bit is incase you have an assassination target.

Also, elmo dolls are NOT good things, that's why I wanted to make them rare.

...But if it dispenses things you can't normally get from vending machines, things that would only be dispensed by a traitor vending machine, wouldn't that give it away to begin with?

Perhaps it could sell things that are useful for traitoring, possibly equivalent in usefulness to however many telecrystals it costs; with the added bonus of other people being able to get stuff as well and wreck havoc. If it's useful/dangerous then people won't care if it's obviously traitorous, they'll abuse the hell out of it.

It should be more discrete than just selling syndicate items though. Stuff that wouldn't prove you are a traitor if you got searched. Make it sell bottles of space lube, thermite, and some other shit you normally need to hack vending machines for. Oh, and pre-nerf horseshoe gloves.

Oh yes, I'm not suggesting it sell traitor equipment. Just stuff that are useful for traitorous deeds.

1 crystal: PDA trap

When someone uses your PDA(with this module installed), a timer inside of it starts ticking down. After ten seconds, the PDA explodes with more force than a normal Detomatix(it'll kill anyone who's holding it, punch a small hole in the hull and mess up people who are farther away). There's no indication that the PDA is trapped. The trap module is disguised as a flashlight module, and there's still a "Toggle Flashlight" option in the menu. Hitting the toggle flashlight button arms and disarms the bomb, so to safely use the PDA yourself, just hit the button immediately when you pick it up and hit it again before putting it away.

Why would anyone use someone else's PDA? If they threw away their own they're hardly about to pick up another. The only way to use it then is to set it off yourself, which basically makes it a syndicate pipebomb.

Security would be in for a hell of a surprise when they catch you and check the PDA.

Because they think you're a traitor, and are trying to check or get at your sweet items.
