i know there's a way to make it treat a capitalized name as NOT a proper noun, is the reverse not also possible?

As far as I know, using "[instance.name]" instead of "[instance]" solves this but IMHO doing this is a whole lot of fuss for something so not important.

I could probably fix this by using putting \proper in his name, but the improper noun behavior really amuses me for some reason.
