No d8s in the gaming kit
#1
How the hell am I supposed to roll hit dice in Gamma World now?
#2
standard dice sets have 7 dice, d4/d6/d8/d10/d12/d20/d100.

The kit does not have a d8 however...

This is an outrage!!!!

Just use three coins as binary percentile dice.

Heads are ones, tails are zeros. A complete string of zeros is treated as an eight, otherwise, use the results as place values for the binary representation of the number:

TTH = 001 = 1
THT = 010 = 2
THH = 011 = 3
HTT = 100 = 4
HTH = 101 = 5
HHT = 110 = 6
HHH = 111 = 7
TTT = 000 = 0, which we convert to an 8 for our purposes.

Hell, why not just extend this. Just provide us with a single die capable of rolling from 1 to an arbitrary prime p, which is adjustable. The crew can then simulate any die they want.

I guess we could just add the d8, too.

Give the AI a pseudorandom number generator.
Take time out of your busy schedule of tracking syndies and opening doors to the burn chamber to roll initiative on Farty McWizboy

Added (and put in the gaming kit).

For the inevitable "what about a d10" request: roll a d100, discard units. It's not hard to implement a d10, but it doesn't fit in the box.

Also: this is a feature request, not a bug.
