in the same way that the changeling can just rip off its hand and have it come to life to snack on people for their dna, they should be able to rip out their eyes and use them as cameras, for remote surveillance of areas. maybe have them be player controlled so they can inform the changeling directly if they see anything interesting

Removing your eyeball is actually more crippling than removing your arm in this game.

It's still totally in keeping with the whole The Thing ... thing for the eyes to be player controlled minions running around staring at things. And yes, eyeball loss is crippling, but that's what stasis is for. I like it. Literal eyes around the station, hiding and staring at things.

Seems like it could be a tad boring for the eye players, though. Not sure how to make things more interesting to play a tiny weak little eye spider.

They are a scout so why not let them mark people, any marked people would let the ling see them though walls.

Give them X ray vison. Why didn't the Changeling get X ray vison when they were in their eye socket? Space magic.
