Not including me, but I don't give custom job titles unless you ask for a really, really funny one.

Jeah, but when is that ever likely to happen?
Nine out of ten times whenever you play a job that is even remotely dependant on someone else, the other guy either chokes himself, has no idea how to do his job, or just simply isn't interested in what you want.
Making everything so dependent on the HoP, who is notorious for vanishing into obscurity three minutes into the round, is pretty sucky.

But it doesn't matter. Nobody really cares if your ID says "clown" or not when you're dressed as a clown. It's not like people are gonna say "whoa, this guy isn't a real barber" when you're trying to run a barber gimmick. They'll probably just ignore you anyways because nobody gives a shit about getting a haircut.

Filler jobs exist because we love them, not because they're needed.
If they were needed, we wouldn't love them so much.
Bring them back, please. Variety is the spice of life, and goonstation is severely lacking in variety, In no small part to all these jobs being removed.

How is adding filler jobs to the game bringing more variety in the game when you can request them at the HoP's Office.

Getting your ID changed to the job feels nowhere near the same as having it be a job.
I remember when the clown didn't have maintenance access, but spawned in a hidey-hole in maintenance. THat was fun, having to be let out in order to do your clowning around, and the fact that people could blame it all on the people who let it out.
I remember there being people who picked clown every round, some of them people we'd come to know and love as being really good clowns.
Heck, it was even bearable when the clown was removed and replaced by a single clownsuit in a secret location, because then there could only ever be one true clown, and it had to be someone who went looking for it.
Making it an actual job, or making it a hidden secret, gives you a sense of IDENTITY, which, ironically, you can't simply get from an ID change.
For example, if you spawn as an assistant and get a job change to Scientist, it FEELS different than if you had spawned as a scientist in the first place.

That's what a lot of you aren't getting. It's a feeling thing, not any literal limitation, that makes the filler jobs important to us. The part do not make the whole. Throwing a bunch of chair parts (the ID, the clown suit) into a pile does not make a chair.

I'm kinda neutral here, but I do say this, how much gimmicks in the game have been added in the game compared to removed? That's not a rhetorical question.

The problem with all of the jobs theyl have limited appeal except for the clown. Its pointless to give the clown his own job since people act like the clown regardless of their job, or if they have the proper equipment. Considering cogstation is going to be launched soon, we are going to have a lot more content without needing these jobs.

Look. I look at the job list, and i feel sad. Because it's all the same stagnant crap. It's all the same "vanilla" absolutely necessary crap that we always see. It just doesn't feel... you know.
Complete. </3
