better idea
referee uniform + cap in the same vein of the bowling outfit that comes with a bunch of explosive footballs that you can throw to blow people up
Just make a traitor football a small gas tank of some sort by default.
(Hell, make ALL footballs work as small gas tanks; football tank transfer valves, hooking the football into your air supply, all that kind of silly sorts.)

All this is leading up to the situation where John Q. Pubbie catches a football in a hallway, notices that it has a timer and igniter attached to it, then explodes.
Immediately afterwards a man in a referee uniform walks over, blows his whistle, and announces "First down!"

S football should be a container that you can smuggle drugs or explosives in like in prison. If you want to do something funny with tank transfers you should be able to forcably hook people up to them and fill them with air until they explode in a shower of gibs.

Made a sprite for the exploding football.
Its two tanks strapped to a ball with duct tape. Just because it looks funny.

After a discussion in deadchat about how maneaters aren't as good as they once were, or at least seemed, I had an idea for either a maneater overhaul or a new botany traitor plant.
The little shop of horrors.
A fairly expensive cost, so much that you could only grow one in a round. It can only be planted in a screwed down plant pot and can't be moved once it grows. It stays stationary but grows lasher vines and other such plants in the surrounding area (the distance it can spread being linked to how much it's grown/eaten).
The idea of this item would be that it would start out as a small stationary maneater that you have to feed, but as you fed it, it would spread and infest more and more of the station. It would kill victims with its lashers and other vine like weapons, and then pull them in to be eaten. Of course it can easily be killed like any normal plant, and due to the location of botany that might not be the best place to set it up, so reaching weed killing items might not be too much of a problem. Just a fun item botanists could play around with.

I could see Jay Wolff or another dedicated spree killer using the giant man eater plant as their own body disposal device.
Eventually vines cover the station as some poor souls can't help but become maneater bait.
Yes to the little shop of horrors.

What if you make it a special plant pot instead? Order it for 8 telecrystals, screw it down, and Audrey starts to grow. She automatically attacks anyone nearby, like a lasher plant but beefed up, and will eat anyone knocked down near her. The botanist who started it can harvest her after every feeding for various nasty seeds, like Maneaters, Killer Tomatos, Lasher Plants, or Kudzu Vines.

I like that idea.
Man-eaters (and some other mobs) could do with the ability to rip limbs off, rather than just have hit/stun/kill moves. More fun and interesting, trying to save (what's left of) your friend.

How about when feeding it people, it will branch out and corrupt other pots. The pots could then be spawning grounds for what you said.
Otherwise, I like the idea.

Seeds would be better because you would be able to spread your army out a bit instead of just having a bunch of killer plants all in one room.

Maneaters are for spread out mobile armies, Audrey is for a slowly spreading death machine in a fixed location.

The idea was that after eating corpses, Audrey would provide "various nasty seeds, like Maneaters, Killer Tomatos, Lasher Plants, or Kudzu Vines," so I don't see where you're getting the separation between Maneaters and Audrey.

Well, a normal plant pot can just be unbolted and pulled around, it's just a little more dangerous for lasher plants. I think it would probably work out about the same.
For added fun, make Audrey not distinguish between friend and foe. You have to feed her by throwing bodies, otherwise you end up succumbing to your own creation!

how about arm-mounted handcannons/chainsaws/e-swords
pros: mounted onto your arm, can't be disarmed
cons: costs you a hand slot, possibly require some kind of fuel source like powercells to function
