Taking off their jumpsuit removes their ID, their pocket items, and their belt. Their backpack is the rest of their real storage capability. That doesn't take more than 30 seconds tops, and if you were only going to brig somebody for 30 seconds, just don't brig them, let them go. If that's too long for the offense, then the offense didn't deserve stripping in the first place. If you insist on your RP immersion by throwing them into full prisoner clothes, that's gonna take a bit longer. That's the nature of the beast.
You're sort of missing the point, brigging someone and staring at them until the timer beeps is wasted time for all parties involved and would hopefully encourage some slightly more proactive investigation of people who get caught.
Brigging is really all about separating antags or greifers from the crew for a bit so they have a chance to recover, and giving sec a chance to build a reliable case to determine what kind of prisoner they've got and size them up.
I'm all for an improved prisoner processing area, but babysitting the brig is an inherent part of the process of sec unless you don't mind if they escape.
That...and typically I ask somebody else to investigate while I process them, or investigate as I'm arresting them. Like...investigating is 100% the Detective's job too, being asked to use his stuff and having it actually -matter- will make most Detectives shit themselves. I've also found that few people will -try- to break out of the brig, because they just end up in the main brig room stuck until security re-finds them and gives them a more harsh penalty. A good way to test if their ID works on the brig, by the way? Click the door with it. It's like MAAAAGIC~.

Ummm... unless something has changed, as long as you're wearing your ID, that door is going to open whether they have access on theirs or not. (as sec)

Nah if you are holding a ID in your hand when you try to go though a door it will make the ID in hand take priority.
Also Fun fact you can also grab a person while they have access and throw them at a door the door with open if they have access to said door. I always thought that was pretty cool
Also I just want to say that I think this is a neat idea just because I hate the system we have now. I much prefer how it was before where the GIANT BLUE BAR appears to tell everyone that your looting a person (even though we had giant red text that told us that in the first place ) and I like how taking things off back then was much faster then it is now. Anything that can streamline this terrible process is fine by me.

I mean, I did say -click- the door, not faceplant into it. I'm fairly sure that if you click the door with an id in your hand, it goes off of said ID's access.
If you have traitorous antag stuff: The machine would start Beeping! Except when emagged ofcourse! Asslo!:When emagged! It gives your Prison ID full sec access! (or access to get out :/)
