I support this, but if you're going to an area that requires internals/a suit (lava moon, ice planet) you should probably spawn with them when you teleport there, so you don't instantly die if you didn't have a suit. Say it was magic wormhole shit that gave you the suit.

Also, there should be an item that prevents teleportation to or from the location you're teleported to until you destroy it at the end of each location, so you can't just yell at telesci to recieve you all.

How about this: Add in structures called "Dimensional Beacons" or "Wormhole Beacons" or something like that. On deadly planets, put the beacons in rooms with a couple spacesuits and oxygentanks. Whenever the random wormhole event happens, each wormhole has a 1/x chance of teleporting you to a random beacon on one of the adventure levels?

What if instead of the random event black hole being an instant gib when you reach the center, it's actually a wormhole that takes you to the z level. It's an adventure for whomever was un/lucky enough to get sucked in, and the events generally don't last long enough to have people running around trying to play space explorer every time the "Wormholes Everywhere" event spawns.
