There's definitely potential for a lot of different vending machine types or kiosks or whatnot now that folks mention it. To maintain some semblance of balance you'd want to make the cost a lot more than what a similar item could be acquired for at the QM (or else they'd feel even more useless than they currently do!)

Maybe whichever rad coder puts this in could make it log activity so the finance nerd in me could use that data to think of ways to balance costs & the rest of the money supply.

One potentially cool application I see for this is in gang mode. Folks have suggested in the past that it would be rad if gangs would "shake down" random civilians for money, but then again, what would the gang currently use that money for? If this (these?) were implemented they would pool their money together to build up a little stockpile of meds and equipment in their club house in case the QM and Doctors don't feel like cooperating with a gang-- or have been taken over by rivals!
