if an item is in the middle of being researched on a Ruckingenur kit, and the kit researching it is destroyed in an explosion, the research will stall at whatever time was remaining when the kit died. You can't start the process anew on a surviving kit as the other kits believe it's still processing, and you can't re-upload the specs because it's already in the database.
