No no no.. I mean something that is FUNCTIONALLY the same thing as a backpack, but is really just large pouches you carry on your body.
I was NOT GOING with the pockets on clothing since I know that's a NIGHTMARE TO CODE!

I think more in the ways of Military belts and vests. Insted they put big belts over their shoulders and wear pockets up front on their body filled with stuff.
THAT IS MY IDEA! Thus if you wear a coat or robe or whatever, it's invisible. But when you wear nothing over it, it looks like you are some sort of mercenary bad ass.

yeah, other codebases have this too, attachable accessories to jumpsuits, i started work on this sprite wise a year or so ago but i dropped it
i mean unless you mean something that just replaces the backpack slot then well then sure whatever

actually reading the post now, not necessarily a fan of being able to hide what you backpack you are wearing
we already have nukies hiding their military bags with satchels
