Been on teams a few times with Raven, been AI with em, and squared off against em as antag a couple times. Great as a sec off - has a very good grasp of the RP balance of security, and when you have to go hard on someone. They're also an extremely experienced player from the other side of things - and again, a good sense of finding the fun for everyone.
Personally I think personal robustness is over-emphasized in HoS applications - but I'd not call Varali unrobust. Smart application of tools, calling for reinforcements (the most robust tool of all) and strong communication help a lot in making sure things stay under control. Also, I've seen Raven take on fights a few time and gone "Huh, I was expecting em to die there.", with them somehow crawling out alive.
