Eh kudzu is easy to contain. I've stopped an outbreak that covered the chapel/owlery and maintenance areas by myself with just a pair of wirecutters to stop thin vines spreading, then a flamethrower to clear out the rest. Lit candles, lighters and welding tools are enough to stop it spreading completely when placed in choke points (you can also do this to blobs to annoy them).
Which mainly comes from how tedious it is to hit the each of the vine sprites as it changes from the dense kudzu to the thin stuff.
