Can bomb anchor can be defeated with gas hookup

I think you don't actually need to anchor can bombs to start their timers. I once witnessed a wraith revenant engage a canbomb, and then drag it to the escape shuttle while the timer was ticking down, no extra shenanigans. That said, they didn't realize that they could anchor the bomb when they reached the shuttle, so the bomb was quickly removed and the shuttle departed.
