Strange interaction between Anaerobic Metabolism and Heart Attacks

It'd make sense to gain OXY damage from heart attacks, anaerobic or not, since OXY is just a key ingredient in cellular energy production. But... That losebreath damage being incurable would be a pain to fix. Why not just have it so that you only take losebreath from heart attacks, and you need medicine to cure that damage?

I kinda like the idea of just using genes to cure people, too, since that has the possible effect of genetic destabilization if overused.
