Ever had one of your legs blown off and wished you could prop yourself up with some rods or a mop so you could hobble to medbay before you bleed out? Be pretty neat if you could do that! Like, if you had a long, crutchlike object in your hand on the side of your missing leg, you could negate some of that crippling slowness and be handicapable for once! Maybe even use two crutches for some extra speed or if both of your legs are missing, though on that case you'll have a chance to fall over and toss your crutches out of reach.
