I entered the discussion pretty much knowing they'd be changed, it honestly doesn't bother me. I just don't want the change to carry enough momentum to alter the things I do care about. You may think it paranoid, but I've seen it happen a lot after 20+ years of the internet.
To be more precise, the trend has been ongoing for several years. Resistance from the majority has slowed it, though.
All humans have it. We want more than we need. We want things that hurt us. We do dumb things. In fact we generally have fun doing dumb things, like playing this game. Desire should be tempered with reason, but it shouldn't be cast out in favor of it.
Or at least this is my belief.
