Weren't all 'infestation' game modes removed for explicit reasons?

what are the explicit reasons? people too eager to get infected and join the carnage?

that was averted even back in the aliens days because you didnt become the larva that burst from you, and it is averted again here.

without the cool factor of giger aliens and instead being a wimpy parasite, i think the risk is much reduced
