maybe with a pseudo-functional economy it would be worth putting something really useful in? i.e. a specialized
(automatic?) manufacturing wing of QM that can make pretty much anything for anyone (like a pod for genetics or a replacement smes) that would be put into a special kit that could be deployed onto a tile? obviously you'd want time delays and/or job-specific access restrictions but it would be neat if stuff broke down and needed to be replaced
it'd put more money into qm and make it important to people since qm would need to order the materials for manufacturing and then would get money when people ordered something
i guess this would be useful since right now people almost always only order from qm to get useless novelty gimmicks or equipment to break into the neighboring department to steal a watering can
