If you are taken off a chair without unbuckling from it, your soul is permanently stored inside that chair until you unbuckle from it. You can do this with an infinite amount of chairs.
When the chair is activated, you will suddenly be teleported from wherever you are and forcefully buckled into it.
I'm still trying to figure out the particular activators, but two are:
Explosions, which really sucks because it means you're suddenly put into an explosion
Putting the chair on a conveyor belt.
