The closest thing I can think of to a ss13 in 3d is that nasa moon base, and I have yet to see anyone take that game seriously, it's mostly just people saying dumb things with text to speech enabled.
I think there is the potential for hard/soft roleplay, but with anything remotely close to a first/third person shooter you are always going to have the possibility someone treats it like counterstrike in space or decides to abuse mechanics like gravity to turn things into a deathtrap, like for example shooting out windows to watch people fly out, which while it would be hilarious to watch on youtube or read about in a ban thread, wouldn't when you are trying to commit to the science of overfeeding someone discount dans awful tasting ramen or whatever.
