BYOND actually runs relatively well in WINE for me, maybe it's just a version that isn't horribly outdated. Running it in a VM, on the other hand, introduces the "white tiles" lighting problem, because of hardware acceleration bullshit.

(Well, besides that, I also prefer standard-looking windows, that don't go changing size when you close them )
