I did actually wonder about the idea of a surgery booth. Emagging/suicide just ripping you apart instead is my ideal future, and also it really would cut the roboticists some slack. In my perfect world, the augs are more accessible to doctors or just common folk and the roboticists can make some fun modular robutts that were detailed in another thread.
