New implant ideas/organs
#7
Lungs: You get two. Each meat lung is responsible for half of your oxygen damage/loosebreath healing rate. For every lung missing you lose 50% of that rate. Synthlungs give twice normal oxygen/loosebreath, but only in the presence of CO2. Cyberlungs must be filled with a gas canister prior to installation and function as internals. They have the same capacity as an big blue tank. If you have no lungs, you cannot talk or scream. If you have two cyber lungs, you scream like a cyborg.

Liver: You get one. The liver defines what your metabolism does to alcohol. A meat liver turns it into ethanol. A cyber liver turns it into nicotine. A synthliver turns it into jenkem. If you have no liver, it turns into histamine.

Kidneys: You get two. These determine urine content. Meat kidneys turns water into urine. Cyberkidneys turn welding fuel into oil. Synthkidneys turn water into ammonia. If you have no kidney, you pee blood and take brute damage for your effort. Each time you pee, it picks a random kidney to draw from.

Stomach: You get one. A normal stomach lets you eat and drink things normally. A cyberstomach causes things you "eat" to go into a storage cavity within your cyberstomach, but prevents drinking. A synthstomach causes things that you drink to be stored in a 120u capacity reagent tank, but does not allow you to eat. Eating or drinking while missing a stomach causes you to immediately contract food poisoning.

Intestine: You get one, and you need it to successfully fart. A meat intestine functions normally. A cyberintestine renders you immune to eggs and fartonium. A synthintestine renders you immune to simethicone. Eating or drinking while missing your intestines causes you to immediately contract MRSA. Removed intestines (and their cyber/synth counterparts) can be worn in the exosuit slot as a festive boa.

Spleen: You get one. Your spleen generates blood and controls your immune response. A meat spleen does both averagely. A cyberspleen allows you to convert iron directly into blood at a 1:5 rate, but provides no protection against disease. A synthspleen is excellent at fighting disease, but provide no natural blood regeneration. If you have no spleen, you get no blood regeneration and are immunocomprimised, which sucks for you.

Pancreas: You get one. Your pancreas manages the body's response to insulin. A meat pancreas causes insulin to increase sugar depletion rates. A cyberpancreas causes insulin to increase histamine depletion rates. A synthpancreas causes insulin to increase atrazine (weedkiller) depletion rates. If you lack a pancreas, you get no benefit from insulin.

Appendix: You get one. A meat appendix has a 99% chance to be healthy and a 1% chance (determined randomly for each crew member each round) to be in need of removal. A cyberappendix can be injected with implants using an implanter. These implants cannot be removed using the normal surgical procedure and instead require the removal of the appendix. A synthappendix reduces the change of getting food poisoning from bad food by 90%. Not having an appendix does nothing bad.
