Dead men draw no sprites

I like the concept and overall style, but the color scheme is something that's really throwing me off. Maybe something more traditionally jester-y like blue and yellow or something would look a bit better.

Contrasting colours. How do they work?













The red and white design was loosely based off of the clown. You can see how well that turned out, obviously.
It appears that I still have much to learn.
