Yes. Yes, I like this post and everything it contains. You even added a picture of a chef. You're even aware of avoiding mechanical penalties because those were the worst part of a needs system.
I'd love to see most of this, if not all of it, implemented. Seems like it could contribute a bit more complexity to the game without diminishing the feel of it too much. I deeply enjoy some of the proposed buffs you've listed, especially because they make sense. It'd give more purpose to a chef, which is a job that doesn't have any purpose currently, without forcing the station to NEED a chef.
