Bacon Cake cannot be frosted

Bacon cake isn't treated the same way as custom cakes are. It doesn't use the new cake system because it was around from before then, so it's treated the same way as other standard food like pancakes or whatever. This makes perfect sense. Also why the hell would you frost a bacon cake. That's even more disgusting than the prospect of having just a bacon cake.
