but space lube already exists as a terrible floor thing that people can use to be jerks.

As does water.

Remove a wall or add a teleporter and space lube turns a huge annoyance into a weapon that can easily kill somebody depending on the room.

In fact I'm pretty sure people used to space each other with it.
