Some botany suggestions

That's a very good list of ideas. I especially like the lemon acidity thing and the poison apple, as I like the idea of botany items that seem harmless but are instead horrible death plants.

Vomiting plant - raise the potency to obscenely high levels, and you get a projectile-vomiting plant - a plant that shoots the ling acid spit at anyone nearby every once in a while.
