Actually, viscerite is the only flesh like stone. Koshmarite is the purple stone that pulses in an unnerving way, so I think it's supposed to be the stone that the eldritch artifacts are made from.

That would make alot more sense, ta. Still though that's eldritch stuff, rather than actually falling into the bracket of being "wizardly" like miracle matter and stuff.

I stand by what I say, I think that "magical" stuff should be have a much more random interaction to technology and stuff rather than just negating it.

You mean like having a very rare chance to make it better, worst, act like a emag, ect ect.
