I remember when a bunch of people walked into a portal only to realize the portal was in a wall and could not be reentered.

Those people (including me) had to hang out using up their oxygen tanks until they started dying off or committing suicide.

I don't recall if they were rescued, as I jumped into space rather than give up, but I'm pretty sure at least one person was murdered.
