I think we should track down the most professional DF player possible and try to get him to recover my save and stop the spiral, if it's even possible.

Don't worry....i here to save the day! The only way to stop this spiral is to kill everyone with lava....Then there no body to go insane!

I'd prefer to not kill everyone.

In all seriousness though, I don't want to sound annoying but perhaps just instead of leaving everyone who died dead, or reviving them through MAGIC (just renaming new immigrants) why not just have the ones who died be named So-and-so The second/third/fourth/quintuplith.

Now we can see which nerds die the most.

This might be the best thing to do.
