It's that time of they year when we rant about security.

I do this. You start with a medkit in sec, and our job is first and foremost to protect the people of the station, not kill those dirty redsuits. Usually, when I play security, I fill a medkit with as much potent healing as I can, and prioritize keeping people alive and safe.

This is the best mentality to have as Sec, even though it's just as likely to get you killed as anything else, at least people will be more likely to return the favor if you've been helping them out. Remember, you're a defender, not an assault squad. Serve and protect and all that jazz. The more helpful you try to be, GENERALLY the more it'll be returned in kind. You're trying to help people not keep them oppressed.

More importantly, we also have more discreet costumes now, so you can be an undercover cop and draw less attention to yourself that way. Better than having a big red target on your back.

Honestly this mentality needs to be ingrained in new people who play sec for the first time. Aside from the regular space law stuff that is on the wiki page, I think a section about the right mentality needs to be added. Something like how being and unfun Gestapo like super cop is more likely to get you beaten than acting like a cool headed cop.
