Last night, as a security officer, a changeling was quickly discovered eating a fellow coworker who had attempted to be shitty. Given the deceased and the situation, a plan was quickly hatched between all of those on security: Befriend the changeling.
We had to coax it out of hiding, being that it had taken the barman's form, but it eventually acquiesced and met us in the bar. Dr. Katznelson, the captain, however, had grown too impatient and made a quick move on the changeling. After a face full of toxic spit, he gave up the ghost and died.
Wanting to keep the deal, the Head of Personnel, the Detective, and ourselves took it upon ourselves to enact a grand conspiracy: the changeling would assume the duties, responsibilities, and form of the captain. The deal was to feed the changeling corpses to mollify its appetite; if it desired living crew, it would have to do so in silence from BOTH ourselves and the AI.
I guess we scared the changeling a little too badly because it never ended up spitting, stinging, or eating anyone! :( It sure did enjoy Void Station, though.
