if the bomb doesn't blow up on contact, it sits on the guy until they're either attacked/grabbed/shoved or get it surgically removed

But then you could just grab a EOD suit, shoot someone wit hit, and then go up and slap him in the face. It would defeat the guns whole purpose: unpredictable anti tank explosives
