I can see where Phoenix is coming from. The rules are pretty solid and clear about ironic bigotry. I wouldn't say I could be offended by what Arki said, but there are still going to be people who it breeds similar hate as homophobia with.

At the very least it's going to goad people into insulting homosexuals. And then what do we do? Ban one, but not the other?

My point exactly, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks it...and I'd prefer people posting to actually expand on the discussion instead of post gifs that they think are funny. It's a genuine concern, I'd like it if it was treated that way, as part of the complaint is that it -wasn't- treated that way.
