Hi, thanks for the response. I think I can provide some insight if there's discussion around the Listening Post clause. I have went to the Listening Post in past rounds, mostly after traitors have made threats to the whole station with the Post's announcement computer. The pretext in-character being, after they make an announcement, I assume there must be a base where this message is broadcasting from, and then I explore and find the base. In these rounds, I try to hand this off to Security to try and get them involved with investigating the Post, whether that be scanning for prints or confronting the Syndicate if they're there. The issue is the Security players I interact with treat the Post like a plague. Every time I tried to create an interesting roleplay scenario with the Post, the characters with jobs most compatible with dealing with the Post don't wish to engage and berate me for trying. In a strange way, I came to think going to the Post and getting CARL products to roleplay with, was safer rule-wise than trying to get other players involved like previous rounds. If the issue is that I went to the Post as a staff assistant without a sufficient lead and purpose other than buying from CARL, I think having other jobs like Sec, would still have stonewalls when trying to go there for a sufficient reason. I think the metagaming clause would benefit with higher visibility, so players aren't as averse when roleplay scenarios around the Post, with clear reasons, presents itself. I may have been too lax, but I think a middle ground can be reached for the better.
I know I don't really have a say in the in-game changes. But I think my suggestions could be discussed in conjunction with the changes, because if sufficient reason is given for players to go there, things like buying from CARL wouldn't be much of a stretch. CARL already has a limited selection for non-syndicate, perhaps that could be tweaked as a better solution without blocking non-syndicate entirely.
