Nerfing cause boring is also not the best idea if it has ripple effects on everything.
For example... nerfing something in botany does not ripple as much through the station, but nerfing ANYTHING in medbay cascades quickly everywhere.
This is why nerfing medbay is a "DANGEROUS" thing. As it blocks all kinds of funnier interactions and turns them into dangerous outcomes.
Now that slip of the banana peel into a vending machine goes from: "Haha, I'll heal it off in medbay" to "Great... the clown slipped me into a vending machine and now im stuck in medbay for 4 minutes."
Eitherway this is why I suggested a side system that 'can be ignored like hunger and thrist but you rather not.'
Thus the improved injury system where you can weigh if you want to take a longer time getting your injuries fully treated or fast treated.
Kinda like: 1 min of actual hard treatment needed + 3 mins of low treatment. But if you take more damage in that way... it's 1 min of actual treatment but now it's 9 mins of fixing the bigger injuries. Ignore it again and now you are stuck in medbay for atleast 15 mins or a 5 min surgery.
We will see how it goes with this topic but I do overal agree that medbay is boring and you don't get to doctor someone more then 2 mins, it's litterly scan/treat/go. Someone dieing? Scan/treat/shock/medicine/go and if not "Cryopod"
But by having an internal organ system where damages gives debuffs and Cryopods cannot fix it? Now can you do some doctoring on top of things.
