Quote:3. Learn to fall in love with dying. As a security officer you're going to die. A lot. Getting used to it is important to learning how to be a "good" security officer since being good at security expands beyond the round itself! How you deal with rounds after they're over is very important too.
Important advice, although you're edging in on my monopoly of dying during shifts!
Lily has consistently demonstrated that they have the mettle, communication, and strong grasp of escalation/progression to wield the beret well. I've witnessed some great opportunistic roleplay, witnessed Lily and Amanita take on pseudo-leadership roles in shifts I've been HoS in (which is something I encourage) and manage comms for the team, I have seen her thoroughly train an assistant but also help course correct some overzealous activity from SecOffs, and I have been impressed on multiple occasions by their contribution to round flow/antag progression.
They also take time out to engage with crew across all roles - time/situation permitting - but also seem to have no issue ratcheting up the heat when antags go loud and start endangering the tenuous balance of a shift.
Can't wait to hear panicked ribbitts when their stompy boots are melting off their feet or their beret is blown away in a gust of wind - well deserving of the role and will be a force for good on the RP server from everything I've seen over the past year.
