To quantify things somewhat looking at code it takes roughly 18 "meat" for a cloning pod to clone a human and each unit of blood is equal to .5 meat, therefore it takes 32 blood to clone a human. Technically an enzymatic reclaimer works by just adding mostly blood and meat_slurry to nearby cloning pods. Doing the math a non decompositioned human will add 40 meat to a cloner, a fully decompositioned human at stage 4 will add like 4 meat, and someone with stage 2 decomposition will add like 20 meat.

I'm still not really sold on this change, I like as a staffie while shit is messed up being able to drag the captain to cloning 2 minutes before the shuttle leaves to cloning and be able to reclaim there corpse and clone them (This is admittedly a more classic minded thing). That being said these numbers probably need adjusting so a fresh corpse is like 25 meat and a fully decompositioned corpse is like 10 that way reclaiming is as a whole more 1:1 corpse to cloned human and also it should take like, 100u of blood to get that level of meat.

So you're afraid of cloning getting harder for non-medical staff, but you're also suggesting they make cloning harder for not just non-medical staff, but everybody, by making all preexisting biomatter sources worth less? Those changes would be realistic I guess but I'm perfectly happy with being able to refill the biomatter in the cloner by scraping a little blood off the floor
