Plus I’m not sure how to feel about a changeling being able to get other antag powers anyways.

Technically, changeling could always get other antag powers via headspider, if anything, old changeling could headspider an antag and permanently keep their powers, with the body transfer testmerged, if you eat an antag, you get their powers, but if you eat a new person, you lose their powers, as powers are based on body.
