The nature of Jailbird crimes

I just don't have the energy to RP around something that just seems to be a joke, like what do I do when the record says I am supposed to arrest someone for "existing"?(real btw) If people could choose or make up their own crime I might be more interested in interacting with the trait but what TDHooligan said is absolutely true, it just doesn't take any effort or commitment to chose the trait. I've gone after jailbirds a few times but I've never had one actually work with me, they either threaten me or run away and those experiences are not something worth looking for and even if they did work with me well then what? I get to put someone in jail for 30 seconds while they tell me they didn't steal the captains ID and I know they didn't.
